in poker, how do u get a ace high, king high, and other highs?

  1. This means that you don't have any pairs, a three-of-a-kind, or a four-of-a-kind, you don't have a straight, and you don't have a flush.  All you are left with is a "high card".  Whatever your highest card is becomes the name of your hand.  "Ace high" means that you have an ace and four other unmatched cards that don't form a straight or a flush.


  2. Basically, if you have no pairs or anything else in your hand, your hand is rated by the highest card in it.  For example, if you held deuce, four, six, eight, ten, your hand would be ten high.
