Acer 5100 laptop USB ports freezing touch pad

Question

Acer Aspirw 5100 laptop USB ports stopped working after Itunes was loaded.If you plug a thumbdrive into the USB port the touch pad freezes and you can't do a thing with the laptop.Take the thumbdrive out still does not workPut Thumbdrive back in still does not workTake Thumbdrive back out and everything starts to works.All 3 USB ports have the same problem
