Acer Aspire 3000 keyboard failing

Question

My acer aspire 3000 keyboard seems to be failing. I've had to attach a usb keyboard and mouse to use the laptop.Keys on laptop are almost non-responsive (they have to be hit numerous times before working) and the cursor is jumpy and hard to navigate - if at all.My daughter reformatted the HD last week with the acer restore disks thinking that would solve the problem, but it still persists.Any clues what the problem is?Thanks,Karen
