Acer Extensa 4220 laptop configuration interrupted

I hope someone can help me,

My laptop was trying to do a configuration update but the battery ran out before it was complete. Now when i turn it on it says 'configuration update 3 of 3 0% complete. Do not turn of computer.' it then shutsdown and restarts saying the same thing, it just does this over and over again.

It lets me enter setup but nothing i've done has helped.

Any ideas?
