“Being the No.1 ranked Test nation is something that we set our sights on some time ago and we have got there by taking small steps and not really looking too far ahead. We have the potential to be a great team and we have worked very hard and shown a lot
of discipline over the last couple of years to get to this position," stated Prior.
Since the current English setup is great blend of young and experienced players, the English wicket-keeper claimed that the present winning combination can produce extraordinary results in the few years to come.
Furthermore, he lauded his teammates for displaying an emphatic performance against the World Champs, saying that it was not a child’s play to achieve the top slot, as the players put in a lot effort for the ultimate glory.
