Acne advice Needed Please?

Should I try Proactiv, AcneFree, or the pills my doctor gave me which are Minocycline + Benzamycin topical cream?

  1. Drink lots of water, avoid greasy food and take lots of hot baths to clear your skin. If you are a teenager it could just be hormones and it will go away when your hormones level balances itself out. Those creams and lotions don't help much. Healthy diet, lots of rest and regular excercise  give you the best result.


  2. Proactive will dry your skin out really bad, and take a while to work. It will work eventually, however. Next time you go to the doctor, ask for a cream with at least 10% benzoyl peroxide. You should take the pills, though, if they are what your doctor prescribed.  

  3. antibiotics prescribed by your doctor are better than tropical treatments. But may have more severe side effects. I would suggest to go with what your doctor gave you.

  4. What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.
