  3. try tea tree oil there is a good product in a roll on (looks like it could be for lips) just roll on & it is excellent

  4. i've been having a little bit of trouble with acne myself. he probably needs an acne kit

i've used a bunch of acne kits... i've used murad, clinique, and now neutrogena

here are the ingredients for these three acne kits plus the proactive one

NEUTROGENA (appox. $20 for a 2 month supply)

-the skin polishing acne cleanser: salicylic acid 0.5% + microfine beads

-oil-free spf 15 lotion (day): SPF 15 -proprietary botanical comples (helps calms skin and protect it from the sun)

    -the acne control lotion (night):

    benzoyl peroxide 2.5%

wat i love about neutrogena is that you dont have 2 worry about being out in the sun

the day lotion has SPF 15 and does not contain any benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid which can damage ur skin when exposed to the sun but the lotion is really sootheing.

the night lotion is where all the acne is being treated and it makes ur face feel a little tight.

the day lotion helps moisterize ur face so when come night... ur skin doesnt over dry

i am using this kit right now and i LOVE it

CLINIQUE ($32 for a one month supply)

    cleansing foam: salicylic acid 2%

clarifying lotion: salicylic acid 1.5% (this is more like a toner btw)

    clearing moisturizer: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%

this one also worked but its very drying since there really is no moisterizer... the "moisterizer" has benzoyl peroxide which does dry out the skin quite a bit

MURAD ($30 for a smaller kit and $60 for the larger one)

    cleanser: salicylic acid 1.5%

exfoliating acne treatment gel: salicylic acid 1%

    acne spot treatment: sulfur 3%

    skin perfecting lotion: nothing...

    i used this one...

its weak so i wouldnt waste my money...

but it is possible it will work for ur son

    PROACTIV

    renewing cleanser: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%

    Toner: nothing

    repairing lotion: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%

i never used this one but my friend has and his face is clearing up but since ur son is 13 and im sure he goes outside a lot, proactive can react badly with the skin and sun

since ur son has black heads i would reccomend getting something with salicylic acid also since thats the ingredient that deep cleans the pores

well i will now tell u wat i do thru out the day to help keep my skin lookin good

since i also have a black head scrub i use neutrogena's blackhead elminating daily scrub (salicylic acid 2%) every morning and then i use the neutrogenas acne kit cleanser

then i use the day lotion

at night i wash my face off again wit the acne cleanser and then i put the night lotion on

also to help clear up some pimples before you have the chance to go to the store he can put some neosporin on his pimples at night. i dont know why but it works :)

    anyways i hope this helps!!!!

  5. go to your GP - or the doctor, w/e - have your son say he wants something for his face - they'll give him a cream
