  1. First, the guy who said take prozac is a jerk, dont listen to him. Use a gentle soap and wash your face once a day, washing more than that actually makes your face produce more oil. Talk to your doctor and try anti-biotics. Tetracycline is very good, also a good cream is stievamyacin. Trust me, those 2 meds cleared me up very quickly.

  2. I feel your pain, here's what works (in my experience)

There are only 3 topical treatments you can use, all brands use the same chemicals so don't worry about the brand, just read the ingredients. Look for:

    1) Salicylic Acid

You want a 2% salicylic acid cleanser to wash your face.

You can also get wipes that are drenched in 2% salicylic acid

and a spot treatment that aimed at each individual pimple.

PLUS get an oil-free moisturizer that has a small amount, about 0.5%, of salicylic acid. This will really help because regular moisturizer can clog your pores but you need to keep your skin moisturized. If you use acne treatments to frequently it can leave your skin red, flaky and painful....which means you can't treat your acne for a few days.....so don't skip the oil-free moisturizer.

    2) Benzoyl Peroxide

This is a little less common, but most dermatologist recommend using a combination of these products (so long as it doesn't irritate your skin) Try a 10% Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser.

    3) A sulfur mask

This really helped me. You might have to go to a cosmetic or department store to find one, but i swear by sulfur masks!

Basically acne is caused by oil and inflammation so you need something that treats both. Don't go for cleansers that aren't aimed at clearing acne. You need something that contains the above chemicals.

A dermatologist can give you medication to control oil production if your acne is severe but these pills often cause side effects such as dry skin, peeling lips, dry eyes etc. Alternatively, if you take birth control there are some particular birth control pills that also help to clear skin.

Just a few more things that sometimes help keep your face oil-free:

Keep your hair off your face

    Change your pillow cases often

Wash your face but don't scrub too hard.... contrary to what people believe washing your face every hour will not cure your acne.

Eat plenty of leafy/healthy foods (Although chocolate DOES NOT cause acne)

    See a dermatologist

Hope that all makes sense, try not to worry about it too much, nobody notices it as much as you do.

  3. prozac

    eat less fatty foods

    clean your face everyday

    use photoshop

  5. Arbonne is the only all natural system that worked for my family. It's awesome. There is a 45 day money back guarantee - like all Arbonne products. If you book a party, you could earn it! ProActive has bleach, which is absorbed through the skin and enters the bloodstream, so I wasn't allowing my children to use something so toxic.
