im rly worried about my dad.

he's been having this huge bump or mark on his right eye for about a year..maybe more.

at first i think my dad thought it was a pimple or something because it was filled with water...so he popped it.

after that it got bigger and bigger and never went away....at my dad's last check up the doctor said it could be skin cancer...but they werent sure.

any advice?

  1. follow up with the doctor to make sure it's not skin cancer would be the best thing to do.

  2. Symptoms of Skin Cancer

A small lump (spot or mole) that is shiny, waxy, pale in color, and smooth in texture.

A red lump (spot or mole) that is firm

A sore or spot that bleeds or become crusty. Also look for sores that don't heal.

Rough and scaly patches on the skin.

Flat scaly areas of the skin that are red or brown.

Any new growth that is suspicious

Keep in mind that these growths are usually painless, but can be painful. See pictures of basal cell carcinoma and pictures of

squamous cell carcinoma for detailed examples.

  3. Definitely get him to get it tested for cancer by the doctor, or at least get the doctor to look at it again, especially since it seems to be getting bigger. With any luck it might just be a skin tag, i have one on one of my eyes, and the doctor used to treat it once a month with dry ice, but it just got bigger each time so i stopped getting it done.
