Acoustic Guitar has a bad buzz coming from the bridge?

i'm hearing a bad buzz that sounds like it's coming from the bridge and it's only on my big E string, A string, and D string. anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Perhaps the saddle is a bit too low to accommodate the top three strings. To remedy this, loosen the strings and then slide a very thin shim under the entire saddle--not just the upper half. Raising a portion of the saddle could place additional stress on it, causing splitting.

    Also check to see if the bridge is working itself loose from the top of the guitar. That could be the cause of your problems.

    When all else fails, take the guitar to a reputable music store and ask a technician there to fix it.


  2. you might be strumming too hard?

    or if you have recently re-strung your guitar it might not have been done properly?

    im not sure what else it could be

  3. when does it happen? only when you strum really hard? could be rattling on the frets.
