Acoustic and takamine guitars?

Whats the difference between this acoustic guitar

and this Takamine guitar

because they both like alike and im not sure which to get

all i know is the acoustic is cheaper and i dont know why

  1. Play them both in the store = good advice.  Pick 'your' guitar.

    Yamaha makes a solid guitar, but the Takamine will probably be the one you go home with if you have the money.

    Also, you might look for a vintage acoustic. (1960's-1970's) For a little bit more money, you will get more of a 'hand-made' guitar with real personality as time and play add (or detract) to the sound quality. The Takamine F-360 "Lawsuit" model from those years comes to mind. Easy playing, low action, and a great sound that just seems to get better with time.

    Of the new 'flash' guitars, you might check out the Epiphone Hummingbird in what looks to be your price-range.  A very handsome guitar with similar specs to the $2,000 Gibson version. -Be willing to try out several of them before deciding on yours, though. It won't have the throaty 'punch' of a big Takamine, but many people like its sound, and you see many of them on stage used by working musicians.
