  1. acoustics guitar.

  2. I would start off with a nylon string because steel can put blisters on your hands and nylon guitars are easier to handle. John Denver used a nylon string.

  3. When buying a guitar, The more expensive it is actually does mean the better it is.

I suggest a Yamaha Freshman guitar.  They are usually under a lifetime warranty which basically means, if the guitar breaks on it's own, we owe you a guitar.  Like, if the string breaks, the frets warp etc, they pay for it.

  4. fender is not that great they're just popular. The best acoustic guitar u can get is a martin. Ibanez is good if u don't want to spend a lot but want good quality. For an acoustic electric takamine and taylors are great.

  5. martin, gibson and taylor make good guitars.Alot of country singers  like Taylor Swift and Jewel play Taylors . Carrie underwood doesnt play the guitar alot but when she does she plays a which are really expensive. go to mcphersonguitars.com to see them

you can go on guitarcenter.com or musiciansfriend.com and it will show you alot of guitars

qand you can google guitar lesson and find alot of results

  6. well a fender is the best but you can all ways do this

If that is the case, you can:

    a) buy a pickup which can sit in any acoustic guitar and plug into an amp, etc...

    b) or, for much more convinience, purchase an acoustic with an input for a lead. These can range in prices dramatically. On of the cheapest are Ashton guitars, but they are decent quality. You could pick up a pack with amp, strap, lead, picks, etc... for around $200. If money is no objact, then Maton is the way to go.

a acoustic guitar. This is similar to an electric (with pickups,  but often has a hollow body to give it that acoustic sound and can be played (to an extent) without an amp. In this case, Ibanez make very good ones that can be picked up for under $1000.

    Good Luck!

  7. I dont know.

  8. I like Takamine guitar but those can be very pricy. A good guitar is an acoustic Epiphone around 200. The first acoustic I got was an Epiphone AJ100CE for 170 bucks. You should go to www.musiciansfriend.com It's a good online store that has good prices. As for online lessons look up a technique you have a question about on youtube you really need to start with a teacher.

  9. Just to clear up some misstatements, Fender does NOT make the best acoustic guitars and John Denver did not play nylon string guitars.  He played steel string Guild guitars and eventually went over to Taylor guitars towards the end of his career.

Do not consider a nylon string guitar - also called a classical guitar - unless you're interested specifically in classical music.  Light gauge steel strings will be fine on your fingers.

If you're a beginner, set a price range and go to your local music store and see what they suggest.  Better yet, bring a friend who already plays.  Virtually all beginners' guitars are made in Asia, Fender included.
