Acquiring a Driver's License?

Hello, I'm 17 years old, and I've yet to get my driver's license. This weekend I was planning on getting my permit, or at least the guide in which to study from. Which brings up question one, is the DMV open on Sundays?

Anyway, like I said, I'm 17 (18 in a few months), and I'm wondering: after I acquire my permit, how long will I have to wait in order to get my license? I heard you can get it immediatly after turning 18, is this true?

  1. Yeah it does depend on the state.  From others situations ive read on here i believe you have to take drivers ed and complete 50 hours experience.  I personally believe you'd be better off waiting till your 18 and going straight to the behind the wheel test.  I think its a lil late to be doing all the permitt c**p.

  2. Everything depends on what state/country you're in.
