  1. I think you appear to have the wrong impression of what the UK is like....

Do we ever see royalty?  Well, seeing as we're a nation of 60 million people we don't all know the Queen personally.  That would be like saying 1 in 6 Americans know your President personally.  And as she is someone of rather high importance (albeit more in a symbolic way as opposed to a functional one) most people only really see her, again, as if you would the President - usually only on TV but maybe in person if she paid a special visit to our local area for some reason.

And how do we dress?!  Believe it or not, the UK is a modern, first world country and we dress like most other people in such countries, which includes the US.  Having said that, after visiting the US on many occasions I have found that the people in the UK are much more fashion-focussed and wear the latest trends, as opposed to Americans who seem to stick to the contents of Gap.  Perhaps if you were to look on a website such as www.bbc.co.uk you might see what some of the rest of the word is really like....

  2. We never see the royals unless we go to London or if the are on TV or in the newspapers, but the some of don't care anyway.  I like the Queen and that's about it.

We dress to keep warm and dry most of the time!!!

because here in the Uk it is raining and cold most of the time!!!
