  2. Are you close to NY or a Metro North station that can get you into NY?   Then start pursuing agents in the city.

What do you mean "trying?"   How old are you?   I get the impression you're a kid.

    1.   You need headshots.

    2.   You need to develop a craft.

    3.   You need a resume.

    And most of all:

    4.  YOU NEED TO FINISH SCHOOL FIRST.

Acting is a rough game with a lot of very talented people out of work.   Wait until you're older.

EDIT:  It still seems to me you're young.  I don't mean to be harsh but I know how tough the business is.

Get a copy of Ross Reports:

    http://www.backstage.com/bso/rossreports...

You can subscribe online to the internet version or hardcopy, or pick one up at a newsstand in Grand Central.  Some places in Westchester MAY have it;  maybe the Borders in White Plains but I'd give them a buzz first.

This is updated every month and is a FAIRLY reliable source that will tell you who the agents are and what types of submissions they'll take.   What is generally listed is NY and LA although I think the hard copy may list all states.  With the online version you can search by state.

I capitalized "fairly" above because even though Ross is an industry publication you still have to be careful;  not everyone in it is an angel.   Always proceed with caution in this business.

I'm not a big fan of agents to begin with and even less so if they're not located in a major theatrical/film center like NYC or LA.   Many of the ones in the outlying areas tend to be hacks and unprofessional.

Remember this;  having an agent will not make your career for you.  Having the RIGHT agent may, no guarantees.  I've had agents;  some have been great and others I would have been better off never having dealt with.  You still have to bust your "you know what" whether you have an agent or not.

And if you're a minor I still say FINISH SCHOOL!!!!

    Good luck kid.
