Acting Agents Contact Info?

im a minor. and want to start my career in acting but i cant find any acting or talent agents contact information!

AND MY SECOND QUESTION IS:

when i go to talent agencies do they have agents there that i can contact or are they like one big agent!

please help me

  1. I don't know where you live, but here's the information for agencies in the bigger cities.

    Talent agencies vary -- sometimes they have a lot of agents, (in the bigger cities), and sometimes they have only one or two agents.  The most legitimate agents are "franchised" or approved by the performing unions -- that would be Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.  In most cities (other than New York) there aren't very many agencies that represent people for Actors Equity Association.

    If you go to

    www.sag.org/branches

    you might find a branch near you, and they will have a list of franchised agents. Then you can go to the agent's web site and they'll probably have information about what to do to meet with them.  Or you can call and ask if they have a procedure.
