I'm currently attending college for business, just because, ya know. My degree is almost here then i do another 4 yrs for my MA. However, I want to be an actor. I feel lost, I don't know where to begin to earn experience. I know I would be good at it! I have wanted to be an actor since i was 10. I have such an interest in film! I love film! I'm in Orlando, I have send my photos off to talent agents but now bites. I guess because I have no credentials in terms of theater. I'm afraid that theater courses at a CC will be kind of worthless. I mean, CC is a joke. It's not even real college in my opinion. What should I do?

  1. It really depends on what community college you go to. Look up what productions they put up each year and who the teachers are. Community college is not worthless as it gives great training however it is going to depend on who is giving the training.  I have known community college theatre departments that produce some amazing theatre and personally know people who went straight from community college into schools like Julliard and Yale, both of which you must be well trained to get in to. This is a great place to start getting experience but don't limit yourself to just one place. Get as much experience as possible. I am sure in Orlando their are many opportunities.
