  1. Go to youtube.com/MostFamousDavid

He is making a movie and it is real!

He is paying for your flight and living.

Also you get paid from 5000 to 100,000 dollars.

This is real and I'm going to try it to.

    This is your big break!!

  2. Just go to google.com and find any openings for audition tapes so you can go on with your dream. Lately actresses have been really suck-ish lately. So I guess you would be a good addtion to the acting busniess so go at there and find it!

    Good luck

  3. First, ignore any acting opportunity that comes your way via YouTube.  *Sigh*

I live in Kansas City, which lucky for me is a great Theatre city.  I have no aspirations to do this profesionally, I'm a 25 year old businessman who does acting for fun.

But my wife is a professional actress, and there are actually quite a few opportunities in the midwest (though not as far north as you, I don't think).  If you would like to stay in the Midwest, as opposed to heading to the coasts (where you're a dime a dozen anyway - better to learn your craft in a smaller market where you have some opportunity), I would suggest, in order:

Chicago (tons of TV tapings, lots of live theatre & modeling)

    Dallas (see above)

Kansas City (mostly community theatre, but the film section of our community is growing at a HUGE rate)

Also, trying to get on with a National Tour of a play or musical would let you hone your craft while making contacts in different areas.  This will be difficult to do until you're union though.

  4. If you are still in school audition for all school plays.  If you are no longer in school then audition for community theatre stuff.

I'm originally from Iowa.  Many of my college classmates that were Theatre majors graduated with a BA in Theatre performance then moved off to LA or New York to pursue their MA in Theatre.  I wouldn't say they have really made it big but they have gotten work.

Hope this helps.  You have to start somewhere.
