Im writing a resume for multiple acting jobs. What are some unique skills that would be good to have if you were in a movie? ( acting is a given ) Ex. Riding a horse, dancing, etc. It doesnt matter if you are not sure i have the skill just list them. I just want ideas. I want them to be stand-out skills that will make me look unique.

  1. ones that will be looked for a lot: singing, combat (stage or otherwise), languages

ones that are random: juggling, sky diving, skiing/snowboarding, surfing, driving, crying on cue, ect. (anything thats a verb)

    break a leg!

  2. Some of the other answers have given you some great suggestions.   Singing is not necissarly a special skill and the best way to list it is by listing your vocal range along with other random performance experience [modeling, public speaking, dance, stage combat]

    Also include:

Dialets/accents that you are able to do

Goofy phyiscal traits like wiggling your ears, raising one eyebrow, tongue rolling - never know when a director might need those.

Sports/games you can do well [vollyball, bowling, skating, pool, wrestling]

And it never hurts to hide an easter egg, some fun skill that is unique to you.  Mine include flawless hat wearing ablities and terminally upbeat manner.

  3. anything unique you can do:

    drive a car

    walk in heels

    unique flexibility

    bi/multi lingual

    computer programs

i wouldn't say go overboard, but usually people put all kinds of things as "unique skills". anything you think is interesting or may be valuable to the director or may even be useful to the production. and it isn't about "looking unique"...what unique skills DO you have? one would think you would be the best opinion on that. why ask strangers online what your unique skills are?

  5. just mention anything and everything you can do. like canoing, playing basketball/golf/baseball/etc., skateboarding, spinning a ball on your finger, cooking, knitting, swimming, diving, scuba, everything you mentioned, double jointed, speak different languages, gymnastics. Seriously, if there is ever some part that they need that requires any of these skills its easy to see if you can already do it instead of having to waste time training a person to do these things. Hope this helped!
