Acting...Singing...Song writing... I can do most of that exept singing... how do I get on Tv? Audition? Help!?

I'm really good at acting and songwriting... I used to go to auditions downtown Chicago to a place called Shirley Hamilton...any ideas?

You are the only one holding yourself back...audtion for every part, every play, every musical

Short Answer: 1) Headshots. 2) Community Theater. 3) Audition for roles in independent and student films 4) Resume listing your community Theater roles and film roles. 5) Seek reputable agent, and no matter what, do not pay any money upfront to agent, if they request it, they are not reputable. (most will not represent you w/ out some acting background). 6) Be very lucky.

Start local. try to find auditions local casting agents to build up a resume.  It is probably pretty easy to get a part in small commercials and other little acting jobs.

I know this isnt what youre looking for but this is the only way to start.  After you've gotten your face out in pupblic a little more, then try to audtion infront of LA agents. they will get you more serious jobs.  There is something called "casting fusion" where all the LA agents meet in your local area for auditions.  Go to www.castingfusion.com for more info
