Well, I'm 16 years old, home alone.. and I was wondering if there were any exercises I could do... to give me some practice... (Since I have no experience).

  1. Grab a play, pick a character, and read aloud (a lot of poetry can be read aloud as an alternative).

This can give you the simple experience of making yourself heard.  You are alone you you can go "over the top" if you care to - play against the character, or just try to find something deeper about the character. All you need is a book of plays or poetry.

  2. Google teen Monologues,  it gives you script like things where its only you talking  and you pretend someones there.

Practice monologues. Thats what you should do.
