if you are BORN with a stage presence and a love of attention and etc. you can be TAUGHT to become a good actor

I owudl say it takes a bit of both, I find good liars make the best actors

I think, like with any talent that one has to have a certain amount of natural ability towards such in order to be good at whatever event you wish to pursue.

EXAMPLE: Imagine Al Pachino as the leading scorer of a NBA game, and Micheal Jordan as a actor.

Each was great within their own field of expertise through a seemingly natural endowed gift towards that particular talent, hence, it's technically both.

a little of both.  as a music teacher i feel i can teach anyone the basics.  but frankly it was also my nature that some students were fighting nature.  they just didn't have "it".  they could play the chords and scales, but they couldn't make music.

either, neither, or both; however, I think the better ones who end up successful were born with the extra ability to throw off the "safety net" - you know, "what if I don't make it?  what will I do for $$?  where will I live"\?" - they just go for it because they know that eventually they'll make it - wish I could've been like that 25 years ago!!

I've noticed in Actor's Studio that a lot of the famous actors give pretentious answers to questions about acting.  But I have also noticed that many famous celebrities who have not been trained as actors give well regarded performances in the first movie that they do.  I suppose that anyone can act to some degree, but training and experience must count for something too.
