  1. Try to do anything to ask people or go on major famous web sites to find someone who will accept you in an acting business.

  2. Act in highschool, go on all of those acting sites to find opportunities.  See if you can get yourself to a few of them, and work your way from there.  Make a movie yourself and post it on youtube so people can see you act and you can gain popularity.  Work on your acting so when you're an adult if it's still what you want to do, you're up for the challenge.

  3. Hi!

Oh my goodness, it's so nice to finally find someone our age who actually wants to be in the business because of passion, not money and fame. You should research any talent agencies in your area. It may be hard at first, but you should find some. Get a headshot and send that to the companies with your resume and a coverletter and anything else they may want. Or, search for open auditions in your area. This means that you don't have to have an agent/be a part of a union to audition. Keep up with the school theatre, and try to do some community productions, if you can.

    Best of Luck!

  4. actinginfo.blogspot.com and talentagents.blogspot.com check those sites out because it will give you the answer to every question you hae but u have to search around the site to get your answer!!!! it wont just pop infront of you!

and if you live within 100 miles of dallas or fortworth go to kimdawsonagency.com but jsut make sure u keep doing plays and taking classes because that wil build up ur resume and look as great experience

  5. Dear Kimberly,

That is great that you love acting!  We need more peope like you that want to act because of passion.  I have the same problem as you since I'm going to be homeschooled next year when I'm starting H.S.  Acting doesn't necessarily have to come in the form of plays and movies.  Taking improv classes, singing lessions, voice, dance, etc. could also get you good jobs in the future.  If there are no jobs right now, just build up your talent for when there are.

I love acting too, but I live oversees on a military base.  My dad doesn't exactly approve of my acting since he doesn't see it as an occupation, just as a hobby.  Acting is my dream, too, but I think that's all it's going to be for me.  But as for you, I will pray for you that you will get discovered for your passion!

    God bless,

    Sarah

  6. OMG OMG!!!! I was talking to my agents assistant and she told me that this girl from beuomont texas would drive down to houston for her auditions and for her acting  workshops and my agent says that shes going to have auditions in august for the agency it costs alot of money:/ like you have to put 1000 dollars down and then you have to give monthly payment and they are taking me and some other kids to imta which is a convention in newyork in july of next year. im 14 and my mom is a little scepticle of paying 600 dollars per month for my imta entrance and everything but like i was talking to a parent in the office today that was taking her child to imta this year and she said it was soooo worth it!! and she hasnt even gone.

imta is a convention where they show you infront of lots of agents and you get contracts if they like you ebough and there are lots of agents and you show your talents infront of them!
