Acting schools?

What are some affordable acting schools or coaches in Fort Lauderdale or Miami Florida?

And also what are some acting colleges in the United States?

Is UCLA a good one?

What type of acting are you looking to do? Stage or film?  Because these are two totally different mediums, there are different schools that specialize in each.

UCLA for instance has a decent theatre program and a very good film program. The university, however, is a bit expensive and relatively tough to get into though so make sure you keep your grades up!

In terms of where you can start taking classes now (in southern Florida)... contact some of the local universities there and see if they offer classes not for credit (open to non-students). Often times, they'll have acting for teens or else be able to recommend someone who offers private lessons.
