    Those metal which are above hydrogen in this series can replace hydrogen from HCl and others cant.

    Most Reactive ----------------------------------à  Least Reactive




  2. Of common metals copper, silver and gold will not displace hydrogen from hydrochloric acid.

  3. Most noble metals (Au, Ag, Pt) do not react to acid.
