Active Duty from Guard?

Im in the NHARNG and I have already tried to go AD, but they denied it. I am going to try again this weekend at drill. Is there any info you can give me on what i should do to make it happen. Me and my wife and kids really need this. Very hard financially right now.

  1. You need to talk to your chain of command and explain why you want to go active.  Maybe your unit is short right now and that is why they denied your request.

    Getting an AAM has nothing to do with it.


  2. Just because you are qualified for the national Guard, does not mean you are qualified for the Regular Army.  There are different requirements.
