Activites for a 2 yr old on the road?

in the car so he won't drive me and my hubby crazy so far we have the dvd player with all his fave movie's but i need some more ideas because it's a 7 hour rides so hopefully he sleeps half of the way any help and ideas thanks a bunch

wear him out before the long car ride

let him bring some toys that wont be much hassle for you to deal with

My best idea is having a coloring book. It is hard because he is so young, if he is old enough to get the concept you could always play tic tac toe or 20 questions. Also if you have a personal CD player or an Ipod that could be a good idea too. If not just duct tape his mouth if it gets that bad, my parents did that to me and I turned out just fine 20 years later.
