We have a Disney World theme this summer for our 4 year old pre-schoolers and our going-into-Kindergarteners. We have a list of things to do so far, but we are out of ideas! Our countries are the 11 countries depicted in EPCOT, which include: Canada, Morocco, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, Mexico, France, America, and China. Thanks for any ideas!

  1. Learn to say Hello in each language....

Find pictures to color online from each country....  http://www.coloring.bz/around-the-world....

Try treats from each country... we have a store here near Cincinnati called Jungle Jim's that offers foods from around the world.  That'd be a great place to find near you.

Dress each child up one day like someone from that country.  Sometimes you can ask a restaurant (chinese, mexican, etc...) if they have a piece of clothing you could borrow.  Explain why, or ask them if they'd like to come into your class and talk about their country to your class.  Maybe they could read a special book or tell a story in their language.

You said you had a list but didn't say what was on it, hopefully I had something you haven't thought of.

    Good luck!

  2. Sounds like fun!   Fix a native snack from each country, learn a new game from their country - look up a craft, what their flag looks like, learn how to say hello or count to five in each language, etc.
