  1. Read, listen to music, do homework, watch a film etc....

  2. I went on a 13 hour flight to Malaysia from Manchester and because I can't sleep on flights I watched the films that were available (we had heaps to choose from) and then broke that up with a read of a book...the time flew by (no pun intended) when I did that...enjoy your flight :-)

  3. Well, the flight to JFK is nothing, so i wouldnt worry to much , any decent airline will have inflight entertainment, where you can choose what film you want to watch at any time.

If you get bored then take a book or a magazine...

  4. This may seem crazy- and your parents may think so too- but stay up late that night, VERY late. Figure out the time difference between London and New York( which I believe is about 5 or 6 hours). Then, don't eat breakfast until it's 8 a.m. in NEW YORK. What these two things will do is not only help you get over the time changes and jet lag, but it will also occupy you for the flight. It will reset your food and sleep 'alarm clocks.' It will be a lot easier to get over the time changes. The best thing that coems out of this is you will be occupying yourself the whole flight while preparing for your stay; you will be sleeping the whole time. :)

    Cheers!

  5. PSP is the answer get it second hand with a couple of films and games is your best bet. About 80 quid.

  6. it literally 'flies over', i often just look out the window but then i'm abit of a plane swat, haha lol.

They have onboard entertainment systems and depending on your airline mabye even back-seat ones!

I'd reccomend taking a book (if you like reading because i can't stand books lol), cards, crosswords, pen and paper (i love art =] )

just sit back and relax... :)

  7. There will most likely be a movie on, or if there are seat-back TV screens you will have a big choice of films to watch. There is also music to listen to through the same headphones.  You could read a book (about New York maybe?) or magazines.  The cabin crew will feed everyone twice on a flight to New York.

The time will soon pass.  You'll be fine.  I flew to New York on my own just after my 16th birthday, I don't remember being bored - just excited!  Enjoy your trip

  8. Be really annoying and see if you can get the person next to you to ask to be moved =]

    ...you meant airplane riight?

  9. Go for a walk, sunbathe?
