Activities to do with a four year old boy

I am currently living with my in-laws and their four year old boy...I have a 7 mo. old girl and I'm wondering what kinds of activities I could do with him. He spends a lot of time watching TV and I'd like to get him involved in other activities..what's age appropriate?

Would you be allowed to take him to a sport like T-ball or something? His parents would have to enroll him probably. I'm a nanny to a 6 year old girl and she played t-ball several seasons in a row and really loved it.

bike riding. your 7 month old can sit in a seat on the back of your bike while you and the lad ride

okay first u keed to know wat he like to play and be more kiddie like play and get inshape so u can keep up and why dont u do face painting finger painting boys like to get mess and fool around why dont  u see if  and viedo games maybe  and maybe virtal tennaness and games lkie tha wii get moving wit videos games

Or if you don't have a lot of time take him out for a walk

daily. Talk to him about things he likes and what he wants to do.

Soon he'll be waiting for those walks.

I also have a 4 year old boy, Nolan. We paint rocks..we simply go into the garden, find rocks and paint them. We also bake cakes (Co-co pop cakes or rice crispy cakes are easiest) play hide and seek and sing songs...Good Luck X God Bless X

You could let him color, make crafts, play with his toys with him, play with play dough, read a book, paint, puzzles, blow bubbles, draw with chalk, go for a walk, etc.

Musical Bottles..

- Have you child fill the empty bottles half-full then ask your child to fill the next one full top the top then leave one empty.. then whistle into the bottle and hear the noise they make

Feel Bag

- take thing around the house like ( sponge, spoon, crayon, comb, toy care or whatever you want to put in the bag)

_ then have the child reach in the bag and try to guess what he/she has felt before pulling the object out of the bag

Ice cube contest

- give your child an ice cube and see who can melt thiers first..

Sinking and floating

- do this in the bath or out of the bath..

- take some of the child toys and see which ones float and which ones sink

Hula hoop

jump rope

Popping for apples

Game toss.. ( get object and toss them into the bucket)

Painting

- sponge

-air brushing

-Put shaving cream on the table let the child play and make shapes.

- finger painting

- foot painting

play dough

take to chuckie cheese, jeepers, to the zoo...

sports
