  1. Sing along to Raffi's Brush your teeth song. (See links below)  Have the children pretend (with finger in front of  closed mouths) or give them real tooth brushes to use.  It's also fun to have big props like  oversized toothbrushes and a set of choppers (available in some areas free for loan from Delta Dental Insurance Company (http://www.deltadentalid.com/community/o... ).

The food sorting activity is a great idea.  But  instead of pictures of food, use REAL food items or play food, and sort them into two hoola hoops  laid out on the floor, with smiley face and sad face cut outs inside.  Play food readily available includes fruits and vegetables.  You can also use empty snack containers from individual sized portions of cookies, candy and and other 'junk food'.

Then serve fruit or vegetables to taste.  Carrots are a hit with five year olds, but you need to consider choking hazards with 2-3 year olds, so go with cut up grapes, watermelon, or whole  green beans, snap peas or broccoloi sprouts (little trees!)

  2. Cut out as many pictures of food as you can sweets crisps veg etc etc  do wall poster of two children faces one with smile one with lips down get children to stick pictures of good food on smile side and bad food on other
