Question:

Actors access submissions?

so i submitted to an audition on Actors Acess and i want to know if the person who's auditioning you gets back to you in time to tell you if they want to audition/interview/want you for the part? will i get emailed if they choose me or should i just assume to go up there? i have no idea what to expect.

  1. ActorsAccess will send you a series of four text messages plus an e-mail to notify you that you have been asked to come in and audition. If you receive no notification, that means no audition.

    They will have a list of the people who got called to come in and audition. Sometimes you could slip through, because when you arrive you have to sign in. They might check it against the list they already have and they might not. It depends on how the casting office is set up.

  2. You have to wait until they contact you. If they don't contact you, don't go to the audition.

    This is how it works:

    1) The casting director (or producer, etc.) put out an audition notice.

    2) Actors and agents send in submissions.

    3) The casting team goes through all of the submissions to decide whom to call in for an audition.

    4) The casting team calls the people they want to see from the submissions as well as other actors that they think might be good for the project.

    So, again, if you weren't called, you didn't get an appointment.
