Don't draw attention to your lack of experience.

I think that if you stop and consider, you may have some experience after all. Look at what you have done in your life and equate it with some of the formal requirements of acting and you may find that you have informal experience.

For instance if I were applying for a management job - I might think I don't have any experience but I have raised a family - successfully and gained many skills in doing so such as managing the family budget and say doing the books (unpaid) for  my other half's small business, negotiating with the bank for household loans, making and keeping appointments etc etc - hope you get the idea

I think that will depend on what a director wants. Sometimes, they`re seeking for an actor/actress totally new with no experient at all.

If you haven't done any performing of any kind put down your training.  And if you haven't had any training, maybe think about getting some, because good acting teachers will also help you put together an effective resume.

I know it sounds like a long, slow, impossible slog, but taking the time to do it right really pays off.  Because in the end, if you don't know what you're doing it will show when you audition.
