  1. I had it. I loved it.  I would get it done before considering taking drugs.

it all depends on your problem.

  2. Acupuncture has been proven to work on various conditions via scientific trials.  Check this out to find out effectiveness of acupuncture on various conditions.  Specifically, it helps greatly with Menopausal symptons, allergies, and pain.

  3. I had two sessions of acupuncture for a sudden onset of migraines when I was about 24.  I went from having minor headaches 1-2x a month two migraine headaches 4-6 times a week.  I worked with doctors for about six months, and they were almost completely useless with me.  I called an acupuncturist on the advice of a woman I knew and explained what was going on.  She had me come in for a consultation, and we did two 30ish minute sessions.  I  have not suffered a migraine since then.

I would absolutely recommend going, but be sure to talk and ask questions.  You'd want to know about licensing, training, and experience, as well as asking questions like "what do you do with the needles?"  A good, quality acupuncturist should be willing to answer any of your questions and help assuage any concerns you have.

  4. I've been acupunctured when i was 15, and done by an actual doctor scientist known as Dr.Baskar(Main occupation as an ISRO scientist) who was working for ISRO, and is also one of the leading practitioners for AcuPressure(a new techinique being developed instead of needles....using pressure on the acu pressure points, MUCH SAFER but slower)

The problem i had was Wheezing...and atleast for 5 years after being Acupunctured i didnt show a slight indication of wheezing. A real better one time medication better than temporary Alopathic therapies. I was done in the ear.

The main things u gotta keep in mind while being acupunctured is...

1.Be assured of being punctured by Sterile and New needles

    2. Opt for Hand or Foot  or Ear points the be punctured

    3. It shouldnt be more than a Prick

    4. Dont trust AcuPuncture for Chronic stuff ...try both :D alopathy and AP

    5. Problems coming from AP are minimum or near nothing as long as the needles are good and infection free

    Hope AP helps you. :D
