  1. RSX TypeS has an Acura Engine, which, first of all aren't blown that easily.  They are very realiable engines and all their models are lack of a better word, AWESOME!!!

You wouldn't have to replace everything, especially not the Tranny. Unless you somehow manage to throw it out with the engine?!

It might mess up your ECU chip though, but I doubt it, unless you decide to put a different engine in there.  But in that case you WOULD have to replace everything. LOL!!!

You should be fine, good luck with your new RSX, Type S is the only one you should consider buying, they are great.

  2. who told you that you have to replace everything if you blow up the engine? you would only have to replace the other things if it got damaged someway. Acura RSX type S are sweet cars. I drive my freind once in a while and I love the quickness and the 8000 rpm redline lol

  3. RSX's are heavy and not peppy.  and if you blow the engine, your bad at driving.  What you need to do is get an EG civic, and perform a K20 swap.  it will be 10x better than an rsx type s ;]

  4. RSX!!! nice choice!!! this car is very reliable! come on, it has a vetch engine made by the most reliable car company up to date (honda). so if u blow the engine chances r that that will be the only thing to replace unless there is already some thing wrong with another part.

  5. no.. it depends.. k20a2 are hard to blow up.. most likely the transmission will still be good.. maybe the head too.. but rsx-s is a great choice.. dont get the base model rsx.. its really slow
