  1. i dont know much about car performance but i do know that any modding to your exhaust will change the way the engine runs, maybe good, maybe bad. if you do that to do it then you could easily weld in a little piece of pipe where the resonator was.  BE CAREFUL, where im from, if you remove the resonator, your car wont pass inspection... without bribes....

  2. which resonator, the exhaust or the intake one? the exhaust is welded on the intake is held on by a few bolts. i had AEM for my integra before someone did a hit and run and totaled it =[. join team-integra.net. the resonator just makes it quiet, removeing it will make it loader and you might gain performance. check with your local law if you decide to take off the cat

  3. I believe your resonator is welded on to your exhaust piping. an exhaust shop will be able to take this off.

I rec. u go to an exhaust shop and have them make you new piping from header to exhaust. no cat, no resonator, just straight pipe

    it shouldnt be much, 100-130.

keep your "stock" system, you might need it when "smog" time rolls around, just bolt it back on and your good to go.

then u get an aftermarket header and exhaust, and your car will be louder and youll feel some hp gains.

a good brand I rec. is AEM or Injen.

  4. what you saw was a striaght pipe exhuast system...you could take your car to the muffler shop to have a new piping put on...preferable a 2 1/4" or 2 1/2" piping...no resenator is needed to be put on...but its there only so it will muffle out the noise...the muffler does muffle it out but the resenator is there to make it even quiter...just make sure to have them put flanges on the piping so you could always change it back to stock...and you could also get a guted cat or a test pipe and repalce it with the cat converter...this will make it louder and over all the complete cat back system will give you a better med to high range power and torque...for the intake...you got choices of iceman intake, aem's short ram or cold air intake, or the password jdm power chamber intake...those are the best that i know of...the arc intake is good too but too pricey...
