Acuvue Advanced For Astigmatism?

I don't love the contacts I wear now...ProClear.

They're dry, weak and when I try to put one on my eye,

It falls off my finger. My friend uses Acuvue and

never has trouble. I really like these because they're

hydrated & strong...

I WANT TO KNOW:

- what they're like

- how much they cost

THANKS!

  1. Proclear is better for dry eyes than Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism (also know as AAA). If your having dry eye issues with proclear, it might be the solution you are using. ClearCare is the best solution for people with dry eyes, but you MUST read all the instructions and follow them exactly or you will give yourself a corneal burn, it'll hurt real bad, but not do any permant damage.

To really answer your question, AAA are very thin, so you don't feel them in your eyes, the problem with them is that they are so thin, they are easier to rip and harder to put in, they fold very easily. They cost between $30-$40 a 6 pack, depending on where you order them. Call you doctor and see if you can get a trial pair, just because they work well for your friend does not mean they will work well for you, only your doctor can determine that.

If your proclear lens falls off your finger, it's usually because your finger is too wet, dry it off a little, and try again, your eye needs to be wetter than your finger.

  2. i have asitgmatisim too i use acuvue they rock...u don't even feel them but u get to get use to them first...ok in my country they cost about 25$ for 1 month....but i think if u r in america they are much cheaper...

  3. I think there like 22.88 at Walmart for 6 contacts.

  4. i have astigmatism too. i use bausch and lomb contacts. i don't have any problems with them either. its often not the contacts that make your eyes dry but the person, maybe your secretary glands something?

depends on what contacts you buy, disposable or regular. mine are disposable every month and cost me about 180 dollars for 6 months so that would make it 30 bucks a month.

  5. I currently use Acuvue Advanced for Astigmatism but my doctor is switching me over to Acuvue Oasis for Astigmatism which is supposed to be better and more hydrating. :)

Either way, both are very hydrating and I've never had a problem with dryness or anything else.

Price wise...that is hard to say. I don't pay for my contacts (my parents do) but I hear they are pretty expensive. Maybe you can try searching

    http://www.1800contacts.com/

for prices. :) (My mom buys my contacts from there because they are cheaper than from the doctors office)

Also, look to see if maybe your insurance covers some of the price.

Good luck finding the right contacts.
