Ad Value has obvious chance for Au Revoir Colin Shand Handicap at Musselburgh
Au Revoir Colin Shand Handicap has attracted many intriguing entries, but the two last-time-out winners, Light The City and Ad Value, seem to have the best chance at Musselburgh on Friday, May 04, 2012.
The latter, whose last performance was pretty impressive, can easily be preferred. According to the program, the 1m6f meeting is due to get underway at 16:30 GMT.
The abovementioned pair will compete with Pokfulham, La Bacouetteuse, Madamlily, Maid Of Meft, Mohawk Ridge, Categorical, Silver Tigress, Goodness, Grey Command and Vittachi.
After a couple of unlucky outings at Redcar last year, Ad Value went on a long vacation. He stayed out of action for almost five months before making a fantastic comeback at Musselburgh last month.
In the Betfred Treble Odds On Lucky 15 Handicap, the Alan Swinbank-trained defeated the 2-1 favourite, Ministerofinterior, by one and a half lengths. Ad Value is all set build on his recent success and grab more emphatic wins
this season.
Light The City is the biggest threat to Ad Value. The five-year-old picked up the winning momentum after a dismal performance at the start of April.
The £32 Free At 32Red.com Handicap saw him completing the order of finish at Southwell. An ordinary show would have dented his confidence to some extent, but the Ruth Carr-trained did not lose his determination.
He came up with a fabulous effort in his subsequent outing. Under James Sullivan, he ran flawlessly and secured the top place by staggering six lengths in the Go Racing In Yorkshire Handicap at Catterick.
With such a handsome win under his belt, Light The City looks full of spirit at the moment. Hence, it would be a tough trip for his opponents.
Pokfulham looks best of the rest. After a gap of almost five months, Jim Goldie’s trainee unleashed his talent at Newcastle, ending up third in the 32Red Handicap last month. He needs plenty of luck to upset the proceedings
today.
According to our calculations, it would be a hard battle between Ad Value and Light The City. The former can be trusted, because he has a wonderful track record under his belt. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
