Adam Dunn's traded! Is anyone else as happy as I am about this?

To all those saying 'the Reds will be bad the next few years now' .... I say.... Where have you been? The Reds haven't had a winning season in over 7 years. Jr.'s been here the last 9. Dunn the last 5. Neither of them were very productive.

In fact, Adam Dunn went two and a half years WITHOUT a Sac Fly....2 1/2 yrs at like 150-some games per year .... He can hit the long ball, but could never hit a 2-out single with RISP. The Reds' $70 million salary can't afford $13+ million for a one dimensional player who is deceptively productive.

I think with new ownership and a new GM, the Reds are heading in the right direction, but for now, we indeed are the 'door mat of the NL Central'.

  1. yeah.! we should see if he does better on his new club

  2. Can he hit that kinda power in Arizona? I don't think so.

  3. I'm just wondering how this is going to impact my fantasy team

  4. im excited!

  5. Where did you hear this, it isn't true

  6. to who?

  7. Cincinnati finally does something right. Go Brewers.

  8. It is great for Cincy to get three prospects for him...they are getting a great nucleus of young pitching that will be tough to beat.  I say that Arizona just got marginally better...Dunn will hit homers there, Arizona is a launching pad but is he really enough to put them over the top?  With him it is all or nothing so they may get more homers than they had but also will get a lot of him walking back to the dugout ticked off after striking out...YET AGAIN!

  9. Cincy traded Dunn to the D-Backs for 3 minor leaguers. Looks like the Doggers picked up the dreadlocked freak for nothing. Go Arizona!

I'm very happy the D-Backs got him. F*ck Manny Ramirez.

  10. Reds have no offense. They are now the worst team in baseball and better find some good hitters in free agency or they could lose 110 games next year.

  11. I'd say these minor leagers they've picked up for Dunn and Griffey Jr. had better work out, because they just gave up on this year, and maybe the next couple of years. The Reds are  going to be really bad the next few years at least.

  12. im very happy about this because i like the D-backs and adam dunn is a great player dont know if hes gonna be great in Arizona though which stinks

  13. as a brewers fan i am really happy because now we dont have to face him as much

  14. I dont really mind since im a mets fan but it was just a reaction to the dogers after getting manny. The d-back want to keep themselfs in 1st

  15. im a giants fan, and now that dunn is in arizona, a team in the same division as the giants, this is great, more strikeouts for the giants pitchers!!!

  16. as a cub fan i am estatic to see him and griffey jr. are finally out of cincy. those 2 always seem to hit the cubs well and now they should have an easier time playing against them.

  17. if your a Reds fan, I'd say you have a couple of years of being the doormat of the N.L Central, but they have some good prospects so they should be contending in a couple of years.

And D'Backs fans should be excited, they needed a big bat in their lineup and even if he is just a "Rental" player, he will help them down the line.  Although now they will lead the Majors in strikeouts by the end of the season, since they already had two in the top five in strikeouts, but hopefully it will be worth it. Very exciting to see the race in the N.L West between the D'Backs and Dodgers for the final two months!
