Former Australian skipper, Adam Gilchrist, who is leading the Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833 as captain in the Indian Premier League, said that he was not going to make any decision in a hurry about his cricketing future.
In the ongoing season, Gilchrist has not been as successful in proving his skills, as a skipper or as a batsman.
The left-handed batsman took a poor start in the tournament as he failed to add any considerable innings in a defeat from Pune http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warriors-c861 during the opening match. However, in the third game against Deccan he scored 61 runs off 46 balls including five fours
and three sixes.
In the next games against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians and Bangalore and scored three runs against Pune.
His best performance was seen against Bangalore in the last match, on May 17, where he amassed 106 runs off 55 balls, leading his side to 111-run victory.
Following the Australian, Shane Warne’s retirement from the IPL, it was speculated that Gilchrist may also quit his career at this stage.

The 39-year-old veteran accepted that he has not performed up to the mark in the ongoing League and it was quite disappointing for him.
In the fourteen matches played in the current tournament, Gilchrist has scored 383 runs at an average of 27.35, including one century and two fifties.
Gilchrist has been part of the IPL since its inaugural season. In the beginning he was playing for the Deccan Chargers but later he joined as Punjab’s captain.
Punjab under his leadership has ended the tournament at the fifth spot with seven wins out of their 14 matches.
