Adam Goodes - He should be one of the Captains - If not "The" Captain -?

In my opinion like how many consecutive games has he played for the Swans (well he is about to equal Crouche's record ) and he's won 2 Brownlow Medals. What more can Roos want of the man??? Is this why he has been playing a bit "angry"???? He is a leader by example in my book and been there longer than Hall for instance (well Hall is not one of them anymore) but he's been there longer than Craig Bolton and he's brilliant but what about Adam????

  3. i understand what you are saying and I agree. Adam is possibly one of the greatest of all times. Yes, he has proved that he is a good player and the AFL media too but sometimes you just need to have that leadership quality. Ben Cousins had it (but of course had to step down then leave), Brad Johnson has it, Michael Voss, James Hird, Nathan Buckley all had it. These boy were able to get the team going when they weren't looking sharp. All I'm saying is maybe Goodesy doesn't have 'it'.

  4. there is a difference between being a genius and a manager. Some would say they are mutually exclusive. Goodes is a genius footballer and his example is wonderful but maybe he doesn't have the ability to talk to his players and convince them to reach their own heights?

    Not that I wouldn't like him to play for my Bombers!

  5. being a big swans supporter i see where you're coming from. but roos may not think his leadership is up to standards with leo barry, brett kirk and craig bolton. i wasnt surprised when roos named bolton to replace hall. i do think goodes  will be a great captain if the sydney swans though, cos he is still only 28.

    He has been my favorite player for a long time even though he plays for another team...lol

    I was so wrapt when he won the Brownlow.
