Manchester City forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adam-Johnson-c3537 had admitted that he is ecstatic of being fit once again and making it into the City squad.
Johnson was part of the City squad that beat Fulham last night. As a result of the win at the Etihad, City maintained their hundred percent win record at home.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international’s performance in the game was outstanding. Not only did he go on to win a penalty early on in the game, but he whipped in a cross that went on to crash into the back of the net, after hitting a Fulham defender.
Edin Dzeko then went on to put in a third goal for City, as they picked up a three goals to nil win in the game.
When talking about the game, Johnson is quoted to have said: "It was obviously important to bounce back and get a good result today, especially at home and play like we know we can.”
"It was most important that we got the three points today and we did that."
Johnson’s teammate, Dzeko was also happy with the way he performed in the game, as he feels that scoring goals consistently helps him keep his form up, while preventing his side from slipping up.
The Bosnian international then went on to add: "I think every goal is important and the goal difference is really important.
"We are three points ahead of united now and they have a tough game tomorrow [away at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786] so now we will wait and see what happens."
Following their loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043, City went on to turn the heat up against Fulham. Not only was this the kind of performance their fans had been expecting, but it was also the kind of performance that the team needed to put in, in order to extend its lead
at the top.
Should the blue side on Manchester continue to perform in the same manner over the course of the coming weeks, they could potentially see themselves create another lead at the top of the Premier League table.
However, it is now a wait to see just what team ends up slipping in the race to win the Premier League title.
