Manchester City winger, Adam Johnson has gone on to thank manager Roberto Mancini for stating that he is going to be a part of the team’s plans for the coming season.
Johnson was being linked with a move away from the club, with the likes of Sunderland and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has gone on to blast all of these rumours by stating that Johnson was a hundred percent going to be a part of Manchester City this coming season.
Johnson and Mancini have had their fair share of differences in the past, but the forward has gone on to admit that the now has a new sense of respect for the manager, following his comments.
Johnson, when talking about Mancini and his comments and is quoted to have said: “Obviously, it’s nice when the manager is saying stuff because when you get linked with other teams, you think you’re not part of the plans. It’s happened to plenty of players over the years.”
“It’s brilliant that he’s come out and said that I’m part of his plans."
The forward then went on to talk about how Mancini has interacted with him over the past and how he is one of the most determined managers that he has ever seen.
“I’ve had conversations with him and sometimes I agree with him and sometimes I don’t, but that’s the same with everyone.
“He wants everything to be right and wants to win every game. He gets the finer things right. That’s shown in how well we did last season and I think we should have done even better.”
Johnson has been like a breath of fresh air to the City squad, ever since his arrival at the team. The forward proved to be a rather unknown name when he joined the club, but since then has gone on to win fans over, all across the globe.
Johnson has tremendous pace, the ability to whip in deadly crosses and he can take the occasional shot at goal from time to time. Johnson is a traditional winger to say the least. He gets forward every chance he gets and even manages to drop back to help out with the team's defence every now and then. As a result, he has become a very crucial member of the City squad.
Nonetheless, with the arrival of the new talent at the club, it was believed that Johnson might just be on his way out of the club. However, what we can now say with certainty, is that, that won’t be the case any longer.
