Adam Scott eager to win the Masters Title
After losing last years’ Masters, Adam Scott is hoping to not to repeat history again, desiring to finish on the top.
The 31-year-old Australian professional golf player is in the field of the first major of the year, staged at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
Since turning professional in 2000, he is in search of the first major title. He has finished seven times among the top-10 list, but winning glory is yet to be achieved.
In 2006, he finished tied for the third position in the PGA Championship. He displayed an amazing performance there and cheered all his fans for such an enormous scoring.
Scott’s best recorded performance was in 2011, at the Masters. He finished the $8,000,000 purse event on the second position and shared the runner-up glory with Jason Day.
He was extremely close to the victory last year, scoring 12-under 276. However, his scores of the initial two rounds were average and he finished two strokes behind the leader, Charl Schwartzel.
Scott made four birdies, two bogeys and a double-bogey in the first round. Then, he displayed an improved game and carded one bogey, one birdie and an eagle in the second.
On Saturday, he played tremendously and recorded six amazing birdies and an eagle. He added -5 to the leaderboard scores and reached among the top-10 players.
Then on Sunday’s final round, he scored six birdies and a bogey. He again added 5-under par and finished on the runner-up position.
He is now hoping to be impressive on the course and not to lose the leading position owing to inconsistent scoring. He has plans to be under-par most of the time.
The competition is tough and all the players are heading to play the first major of the year. The hottest contenders of the title include Tiger Woods, Luke Donald, Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy.
There are ample opportunities for the four of them to be impressive in the four-day tournament. Hence, Scott will have to face tough challenging rivals.
Scott’s performance is improved now. He has recorded impressive finishes in the current year. However, if he wants to record his debut major victory, then he has to deliver his best at Augusta and saving bogeys would also help.
