The Reds midfielder praises the club’s fans, both in the city as well as around the world.
Charlie Adam was one of a number of signings made by former Liverpool manager and Director of Football, Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli respectively. However, Comolli lasted just over a season and his tenure was only marginally shorter than that of Dalglish as both men found themselves leaving the club for different reasons.
Adam was signed alongside Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez, Stewart Downing, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stewart-Downing-c34221 failing to live up to levels expected of them.
Charlie Adam though, thrived in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756 international was asked to play in a more defensive role and Adam seemed unable to readjust his game before he too had to cut his season short after suffering an injury a few weeks before the end of the season.
However, he took a moment to thank the fans who had supported him throughout the season, and even in pre-season where Adam thought that “the turn-out for the games and the training was just unbelievable and that just shows the type of club you are at.”
He continued, "The fans were camped outside the hotel for the whole night and it was just incredible but when you come to a club like this you've just got to expect it because we've got some of the best players in the world in our dressing room.”
Adam also admitted that the players were in demand and to revel in such company was an honour for the former Blackpool captain. He said, "And everybody wants a piece of them, so that just shows how much this club is respected not just in Britain but around the world and it's an honour to be able to play for them."
