  1. i think it was a terrible trade for the reds. i don't care what his average is he can hit 55 hrs if he stays healthy every year. he walks 100 times a year and has a great eye. as for his defense it is not as bad as people say. he isn't a gold glove guy but he isn't manny like either. and the whole clubhouse deal the whole reds team loved him and Ken Griffey Junior one of the best players of his era says Dunn is basically his alter-ego and is a great guy. don't listen to what dusty baker says about dunn baker is a jerk who is in love with corey patterson.

  2. .233 Is all im gonna say! hahahah Richie Sexon with some meat on him!

  3. good trade.. more offence for dbacks..

im still pist that the dbacks were so close to adding manny ramirez!

  4. good pick up for them, and now makes it harder for the dodgers of taking the division but there's a lot of games left to be played.

  5. As a Reds fan...I'm happy. I've been exclaiming my desire for him to be traded for a few years now. His power and walks are great...but his Ks and defense aren't worth the contract.

Tommy John isn't THAT big of a worry anymore. It's a relatively safe surgery and a lot of players come back strong from it. And who knows. the TBD players could turn into something...Also, it's nice to unload that contract and let the young guys step in. Bruce, Votto, Phillips, etc....will be fine, and their system is as strong as any.

  6. As a reds fan, I think its a good trade to get anything in return just to finally see that big oaf loser get out of town.

You know I've been riding on getting Dunn out of town for years nows....the guy's just too lackadasical (as in no intensity in at bats and fielding at LF) and strikes out a ton especially in clutch situations....

but looking back, he's not that bad a hitter (just one that's too expensive for my reds and their payroll). His overall production numbers aren't bad and if he was on a team batting 4th and the 1st 3 guys had real good on-base percents, then this guy would be a very good rbi man. But it was a bad combination with him and griffey here in cincy. Only problem is that he stinks it up at times at the plate and in the outfield sometimes and then acts all entitled and spoiled like Griffey and gets hypersensitive to the local radio announcers, sports writers, and fans blasting him even though its rightly deserved.

  7. Good trade for the D-Backs. I would slot him right into that cleanup spot and watch him launch bombs into the desert.

  8. I think it was a great move by the Dbacks. They were 1 big bat away from a playoff push. As for the Reds it doesn't appear to be the best deal...

  9. I think someone who hits 231 is pretty weak, despite all the homers.  And one report I read said that he is not good in the club house.
