Liverpool’s manager, Kenny Dalglish has refused to rule out midfielder Charlie Adam for the rest of the season and said that the decision on the player will come after a medical examination.
The Scottish International suffered a knee ligament injury during a Premier League match against Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 and was substituted during the half time break. Preliminary reports suggested that the player won’t be able to play further part in the Reds
current season, as the nature of his injury is believed to be serious.
However, Dalglish turned down such reports, terming them premature and said that the player will be assessed by the club’s medical team before making any formal announcement.
He confirmed that Adam had suffered a knee ligament injury during the QPR match. But the Scott said that it is yet to be determined for how long will he be unavailable for the Reds.
"We know Charlie has strained knee ligaments but we still don't know how long he will be out. He hasn't had an operation and as it stands he's not having one," Dalglish told reporters.
The Reds boss mentioned that the player needs to rest for a couple of days and will be reassessed, as only a week has elapsed since he suffered the injury. He said that the club will monitor the progress made by the 26 year old before reaching to a decision.
"We haven't ruled him out for the rest of the season. We're just waiting to see how he progresses." He added.

However, Dalglish remained hopeful that his side can conquer their injury woes and set his sight on the Reds crucial Premier League fixture against Newcastle on Sunday.
"They are all making progress...we will monitor them throughout the week.” he said of Bellamy, Agger and Johnson.
"They are all training to various degrees and we will monitor them throughout the week. If they're ready to play they will come back into our plans for Sunday.”
