Add Vaughan to the list ?

Can the name Michael Vaughan be added to the list of players showing a lack of integrity by claiming a non-catch. Amla expected better things from an English captain so was heading for the hut only to be sent back. The ball was clearly grounded ( I am a neutral here ) and Vaughan would have been better served asking for the catch to be checked.

  1. Yes and AB De Villiers name as well

  2. Look buddy, in recent times it is seen that when a fielder is unsure of his catch the umpire usually gives it not out. So Vaughan was right in claiming the catch but if the umpire had any doubts he should have asked for the third umpire.

  3. Im Surprise from this action of him

  4. have  uever tried to catch a ball like that and known instantly that u caught it im sorry but its pretty d**n hard guys, i think it was karma for De Villiers. it was funnier seeing the expression on flintoffs face afterwards tho

  5. no. Vaughan is a honest man and cricketer.

  6. it doesn't matter as long as the correct  decision is made and in Amla's case it was.

  7. I thought Vaughan was a honest person!!

  8. Yes I agree, Michael Vaughan's name should added to the list of players showing a lack of integrity.

"In the evening session, England captain Michael Vaughan claimed a diving catch off Hashim Amla from Andrew Flintoff's bowling. Amla walked almost to the boundary edge when coach Mickey Arthur instructed him to wait for a replay. Amla was given not out."

  9. Kookee, you should know by now that if your now from the S.C you cant be an honest cricketer and MUST be scrutanized for every action that you take.

  10. Concur.  Both teams apparently tried.  However, watch Vaughan's body language as he turned after tossing or wanted to toss the ball.  HE KNEW!  And it showed. De Villiers has to answer to his superiors and  he did and believe me, it wasn't a pleasant discussion!!!  The fact that Vaughan questioned the Umps - bad for a captain who knew that ball touched down, rolling off his outstretched fingers - that just made it worse.  But we all know about conscience - the two cricketers will have to live with that - that's the worst of the whole unpleasant business!!!!

  11. il come back to this cos i went out and had a few drinks so don't want to say to much..cos im pissed !..,.,.,but both seemed very similar to me ,.,.but the AB vil ,,was a more pronounced bounce compared to the M Vaughan .....both batsman where clearly not out ...one up for technology ..Amla walked so kudos to him

    .

  12. he got his fingers underneath the ball as the front camera angle showed, therefore it WAS a catch

  13. no vaughan is a great test captain

  14. YES .

  15. So what, you were sitting there waiting to catch a 'cheat' so you could comment on it?..

Typical,it's like NO Indian has ever tried to claim a grounded catch now is it...

These things happen in a split second,a lot of times the fielder honestly does believe he took the catch, about time this c**p in here stopped isnt it?...

We are still trying to get over all the c**p with the Aussie's and Indians, lets not start it up again hey.Mistakes happen.I am sure if it was one of your players you would call it a 'mistake',well Vaughan made a 'mistake'.It has'nt effected South Africa,i hear they did well..

  16. I wish all this t*t-for- tat talk would cease. These things have always happened in cricket & always will. You win some you lose some & name calling only causes trouble unnecessarily.Vaughan is no exception, anyone can make a mistake. Get off his back.
