A while back, I bought a 20 oz Players cue. I wanted a 21 oz so the guy took weight out of another players cue and added it to mine. Anybody know where he took the cue apart to do this?

  1. Remove the rubber bumper from the butt of the cue then a large phillips screwdriver or allen wrench just un s***w it out and replace it with the size you want

  2. Johnny is right, as usual. There is another method for adding weight to your cue. When you take the s***w out from the end of the butt, replace it with a longer s***w. That will give you some additional weight.

When you have the s***w out, stick a wire down the hole to measure how much room there is. The last thing you want to do is split the butt apart by trying to force a longer s***w in.

  3. yea go and get a big glass of water and then check out the back door and to your right is the alley. look for tony! WOKE UP THIS MORNING WENT AND GOT MYSELF A .....LOL~!~

  4. ATTENTION HERE... he probably took apart the bottom butt of the cue and added the weight to yours.  It sounds to me that your game has improved to the point that your starting to caution your shot on the weight of your cue.   I prefer to use a 19oz. Perhaps you should consider upgrading your pool cue.    I have attached a couple of recommendations for you to choose from.  http://www.billiardwarehouse.com/cues/vi... or my personal favorite http://www.budgetcues.com/mcdermott.htm....  Good Luck

  5. He should have added it to the end.  I shoot a 17 oz cue except for the break which is a 22 oz..  I like a very small tip for all shots.  the smaller the tip, the easier the English.  The lighter the stick, the sofeter the stroke.  21 oz scares me in normal play, try to practice with a 17 oz and I am sure that you will surprise yourself with the control of the cue ball!
