how do i stop gambling? i am unable to stop and it is ruining my life. help please

Why would you want to stop. Gambling is the best thing ever! Well, besides s*x.

Anyway, gambling is a great thing, but Gamblers Anonymous is a great way to go too. Good luck!

Look up Gamblers Anonymous. I've never been there so I don't know how effective it is. They're listed in the phone book. Or else look on line for them.

Oregon has a gambling help line with councelors you can go and see, all funded by the Oregon Lottery Board. (Free to gambler) Check to see what is available in your area. Admitting you have a problem is a big step forward and I truly wish you luck on overcoming this addiction.

I think people who gamble compulsively do so because they don't have anything else going on in their life. So fill up your time with something else. A new hobby, or an existing hobby. Pick something and try to get really, really good at it.

Always think about all the bad things about gambling for example it can make you loose out on a lot of money as nothing is for certain in gambling, Its not good for your health and that it can upset families and friends. When you keep in mind all the bad things about gambling it will give you a stronger will power to quit. I have seen people close to me quit gambling so i am sure you can quit gambling as well if you set yourself the target of quiting

you can always get help. You can contact local support groups, you should be able to get a lot of help there.
